The "Betende Knabe" (Praying Boy) is a well-known statue located in the Altes Museum in Berlin. It is a Hellenistic sculpture depicting a naked youth with his arms raised in prayer to a god. The statue is an example of Hellenistic art, which is known for its realism compared to the idealized approach of classical art. The statue had an interesting history of being taken by both Napoleon and Stalin but was eventually returned to Germany.
