The vault room, although simply a waiting room, has impressive architectural elements, such as the four monumental marble portals and the ceiling designed by the architect Andrea Palladio. The walls are adorned with artwork celebrating various themes, including the votive painting of Doge Grimani, begun by Titian. An interesting curiosity to note is the presence of strange lion's mouths on a wall of the Floor of the Lodges, which date back to the times of the Doges and were used by citizens to denounce crimes or misdemeanors.
