The friars' cells, numbered from one to thirty-nine, were organized by Michelozzo in the convent. They are connected by long corridors which run along three sides of the cloister. The cells are decorated with frescoes by Fra Angelico and his students, executed just before 1450. The frescoes depict scenes inspired by the Gospel and are distributed throughout the cells and corridors. This arrangement creates an enchanting journey for visitors.
