The Filarete Tower is located at the Sforza Castle in Milan, Italy. It is a cylindrical tower that protects the main facade of the castle facing the center of Milan. The original tower was destroyed in 1521 when a soldier accidentally set off an explosion due to a fiery object falling into the gunpowder storage inside the tower.
