Buffalmacco was a famous Italian painter of the 14th century. He was part of the group of painters known as the "Tuscan Masters" and worked mainly in the city of Florence. He is known for his participation in the creation of frescoes in the Magi Chapel in the Camposanto of Pisa, where he depicted a series of scenes representing the Last Judgment. These paintings show a combination of humorous and macabre elements, with a moralizing view of life.
