The Arch of Titus, located in Rome, was erected in the year 81 by Domitian in honor of his brother Titus, who had previously been emperor. It is a monument clad in marble from Greece. The arch commemorates Titus's victory in the year 71 over the rebels of Judea. Inside, one can admire reliefs representing two moments of the triumphal procession: Victory crowning Titus in front of the people and senators, and the legionaries carrying the spoils obtained from the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem. A recognizable detail in the reliefs is the large ritual seven-branched candelabrum.
