The Udzungwa Mountains National Park, located in central-southern Tanzania, is a protected natural area. It covers approximately 20% of the Udzungwa mountain range, with the highest point being Mount Luhombero at 2,579 meters above sea level, on the eastern edge of Tanzania's central plateau. These mountains dominate the valleys formed by the Ruaha and Kilombero rivers, making it one of the most biodiverse areas in Africa.
