It is housed in a classical-style 17th century mansion which was the residence of a wealthy Amsterdam merchant and mayor, Abraham Willet, and his wife Sandrina Louisa Geertruyda Holthuysen. The museum now houses an exceptional collection of art and objects from the 17th to 18th centuries, including paintings, furniture, silverware and porcelain. It is an ideal place to discover the history and culture of the period through its authentic atmosphere and varied exhibitions.
