The Capitol Halls in the Escorial are late-Renaissance halls where the Hieronymite fathers met to discuss and make decisions about the monastery's administration. They feature ceiling frescoes by painters from the Genoese school and a gallery of sixteenth-century paintings. One notable artwork displayed in the Capitol Halls is the dramatic Dream of Philip II by El Greco. The Apostolado series of busts of the twelve Apostles by El Greco is also located there. Additionally, works by various Venetian artists such as Tintoretto, Veronese, and Titian, as well as Hieronymus Bosch are on display in this historical environment.
